The choices we make as a business and as a brand give us our heart, our soul, our character. They make us who we are today. We were founded on the simple notion that amazing design belongs to all of us.

History

 

1977 – IN THE BEGINNING
Meet Maurizio and Isabel Garcia. An Italian couple from Urbania who also happen to be denim geniuses. They have a small factory and a big ambition. They pour their heart and soul into their denim, creating the spirit that would live on in the future.

1979 – A PERFECT PARTNERSHIP
Dutch entrepreneurs from Eurobrooks travelled to Italy in search of an authentically Italian jeans supplier. After meeting the Maurizio and Isabel, they forged a partnership built on Dutch business and Italian style. Perfecto.

1980 – A BRAND IS BORN
As two perfect pair of jeans roll off the production line, a brand is born. The name comes, fittingly from our Italian couple, making it clear that Garcia is more than a company. It’s a family.

1994 – IT’S ALL IN THE WASH
With our own denim laundry, Garcia takes a big step toward forward in improving our production process.

1998 – THE GOOD LIFE FOR ALL
After years of adult-only collections, Garcia welcomes teens to the good life!

2006 – INTERNATIONAL AMBITIONS
The local player repositions to become an international brand with high potential.

2011 – GLOBAL EXPANSION
With 250 Soft Shops, 75 Shop-in-Shops, 50 Mono-brand Stores and 2000 Multi-brand Stores, Garcia spreads the goodness far and wide.

2015 – OUR BEST YEAR YET
We’ve never had as much love for our products or as much belief in our brand as right now. We are certain that 2016 will be a very good year indeed!
